On December 9th, COMAC delivered the world’s first C919 passenger aircraft to China Eastern Airlines.
On the 26th of December, this C919 aircraft started its verification flight and is scheduled to fly 100 hours in total on 9 routes.
On each verification flight day, the C919 aircraft will take off from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and fly to Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing, Chengdu Tianfu, Xi’an, Haikou, Qingdao, Wuhan, Nanchang and Jinan, and return to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport on the same day.
The verification flight will simulate the entire flight operation process, including check-in and check-out, passenger boarding, pilot operation, and aircraft maintenance.
On January 1st, the C919 aircraft completed its first flight of the New Year and arrived at Beijing Daxing Airport from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.
On January 2, it flew from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport to Haikou Meilan Airport again.
After the C919 aircraft completes its route verification flight, the CAAC will validate and inspect the verification results.
After confirming that China Eastern Airlines has the ability to safely operate the C919 aircraft, the corresponding operating license will be issued. (Xinhua News Agency)
