According to China News, the Shenzhou-15 manned mission press conference was held at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Nov. 28.

The relevant personnel said that the General Command has decided to launch the Shenzhou XV manned spacecraft at 23:08 Beijing time on Nov. 29, and the flight crew consists of astronauts Fei Junlong, Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu, with Fei Junlong as the commander.

Astronaut Fei Junlong participated in the Shenzhou VI manned mission, Deng Qingming and Zhang Lu are first-time flight.

At present, the Long March 2F remote 15 rocket for this launch mission is about to start propellant refueling.

This mission is the sixth mission of China’s manned space project this year, and is also the last mission of the space station construction phase.

According to plan, Shenzhou XV manned spacecraft into orbit, will use independent rapid rendezvous and docking mode, docking in the sky and the core module forward port, forming a three-compartment three-ship combination.

This is the largest configuration of the Chinese space station at present, with a total mass of nearly 100 tons.

Astronaut crew will live and work in orbit for six months, the main purpose is to verify the space station support crew rotation capabilities, as well as space science experiments and technology tests.

During the orbital residency, the Shenzhou 15 astronaut crew will usher in the Tianzhou 6 cargo spacecraft, Shenzhou 16 manned spacecraft visit docking, and is scheduled to return to the Dongfeng landing site in May next year. (China News Network)
